A delightfully aromatic Talatouri. Very similar to the familiar, Greek Tzatziki.
- 1 Cucumber.
- 3 Cloves Garlic.
- 1 Heaped tablespoon of pungent, dried mint.
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil.
- 250g Thick Greek Yoghurt.
Peel and grate the cucumber. Place in a colander, sprinkle some salt on top and let it drain. Then squeeze it to remove excess liquid. Peel and pound the garlic together with the salt.
Add to cucumber as well as olive oil and yoghurt and mix all ingredients together. Sprinkle the mint on top. Cover with cling film and refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving. If desired a dash of olive oil on top along with a sprinkling of paprika can be wonderful just prior to serving.
